Create Burst Gems by making a match with 8 or more gems in it.
Horizontal Bursts are made with matches that are higher than they are wide and destroy gems in the same row it is in.
Vertical Bursts are made with matches that are wider than they are tall and destroy gems in the same column it is in.
Area Bursts are made with matches that have an equal width and height and destroy gems adjacent to it.
Burst Gems can only clear one layer of an obstacle, and cannot pass through obstacles. For instance, a vertical burst will clear all gems above and below the burst gem, but will stop as soon as it reaches and breaks an obstacle that can be broken, like a [boulder], or [stone tile].
Burst Gems appear where a player made the match. Combine different kinds of burst gems to clear a bigger area. Use a Wild Gem to combine bursts of two different types into a more powerful effect. Combining two bursts of the same type has no additional effect.
If a Burst gem's effect hits another burst gem or a Super Wild, it will activate that gem, but not gain a bonus combining effect. Only gems in the initial match gain a combination effect.
